August is when the fishing starts to get good as we get more rain and water temps start to cool towards the end of the month. All of our migratory species are in full swing. Tarpon, Jacks, Triple tail, Bull redfish and more. It is still good to get out early morning or later in the evening to avoid the midday sun.
As it gets cooler, the bait will start to get thicker making the topwater bite with both fly fishing and spin fishing good in certain conditions
