June 2025 Beaufort, SC Fishing Report: Recap

Beaufort SC Fishing Charters

Welcome to your latest June 2025 Beaufort, SC Fishing Report: Recap! June brought true summer conditions to the Lowcountry, with daily highs ranging from 70–90°F and water temperatures holding steady around 83°F. Despite afternoon storms remaining a near-daily occurrence, fishing opportunities stayed strong across both inshore and nearshore trips.

Fishing Highlights

Topwater action continued to be reliable, especially in the early morning and late evening hours. Redfish and trout responded well to surface presentations, offering anglers exciting visual takes and consistent bites.

Flood tides performed as expected, delivering excellent sight-fishing opportunities for tailing redfish. On the right tides, anglers could expect multiple quality shots at fish feeding up in the grass.

One unique highlight this month was the catch of an 18-inch hammerhead shark during a charter trip, which is a rare find in June. While more commonly encountered in April or May, this catch was a reminder that surprises are always possible on the water. It’s been three years since the last hammerhead sighting on one of my trips, making this a notable moment for the guests.
